" I'M A LEGEND IN MY OWN MIND"

WC BROWN JR,  National motivational speaker, comedian, musician, singer songwriter and puppeteer.

WC is a fresh voice in the field of motivational speaking and comedy. he shares his message of " ask God for what you want and act like you got it"

He is an Air Force veteran injured in Iraq and has decided not to host a pity party for himself eventhough he is in a wheelchair. He was also at the pentagon on 9'11. He puts people on the floor with his character "Ma Lizzy," which is based on the life of his great grandmother. WC says she was mean and surly and being that he was raised in the church, he uses her character to potray the comical side of "praising the Lawd!". He began playing in the church at the age of 5, sitting on the piano next to his mother memorizing her playing for the Tuesday night services. Although his hands were to small to play full chords, he would use both hands to play a chord and his elbow to play the bass note, which now he say was a "hot mess!" He then began to make up songs and would go to the choir stand where all the instruments were and pick them up and attempt to play them. His mother who herself is a national recording artist and pastor of her church in Virginai, would always signal to him that he was to loud because is was louder than the singing and not in the right key. He grew and developed his musical ability and at te age of 12, started writing songs and directing the youth choir. The only problem was when he went to junior high and high school to play in the band, WC could not read music, but he fake his way through by imintating the other band members. His greatest relief came when he knew he was going to have to play at half time of the football game, so he did what any red-blooded musician would do.....He joined the football team and became a star reciever! He had many sports records, especially in track where 2 of those records are still there today.  He writes poetry and thought provoking love letters. He is now working on a book called "10 romantic things for the romantically challenged" He says it's a guide for men with no romance. He sponsors two women's shelters in Virginia and has a program for children called " Act like you got it." His story is a story of dissappointments and triumps. He sustained a brain and spinal injury in combat and now resides in a wheelchair. His famous words to people is "don't let this chair fool you!" It took him a few months to learn how to write his name, count money, read and things most people take for granted. One of the sad stories was the death of his father while he was away. He got the news his father was very ill and by the time he recieved permission to leave and go to his fathers side, His father who he is named after, died before he could get to him.
